Statics is an introductory engineering mechanics course, and is among the first engineering courses encountered by most students. The primary topics of the course are to introduce rigid body motion and material properties and deformation and related principles. Students are required a considerable amount of practice in solving problems before they begin to develope the analytical skills that are so necessary for success in engineering. Newtonian Mechanics is the primary subject in this course and it is followed by basic operations with force systems and so on.
